There are 15 beds in the clinic, as well as the entire infrastructure necessary to ensure treatment, care and neurological rehabilitation of children in a coma.
Visit at the Clinic
Marek Michalak the Ombudsman for Children with delegation of representatives of the institutions dealing with protecting children rights from Visegrad Group , West Balkans and Turkey countries paid a visit at the Clinic. Special guests were invited by Foreign Affairs Minister and the Ombudsman for Children to talk about the system of children’s rights and to see how those rights are respected in our country.
The hosts of the meeting were Ewa Błaszczyk the chairman of the Akogo Foundation, initiator and creator of the Clinic as well as the directors prof. Małgorzata Łukowicz and JarosławJasik who took the foreign delegations around the Clinic. They talked about the achievements in rousing children from coma and the execution of child’s right to medical care. A 13 year old Ola, who in last days roused from coma and is soon going home also met with the guests.
The director of the Children's Memorial Health Institute, prof. dr. hab. Magorzata Syczewska also took part in the meeting. She presented to the Ombudsman for Children actual problems of the Institute an issues related to the cooperation with the Alarm Clock.
